Triumph MeadowBrook Specialty Hospital Tulsa Expands Services

Newly renovated space includes intensive care and special procedures

(Tulsa, Oklahoma/November 4, 2010)  Triumph MeadowBrook Specialty Hospital Tulsa announced today the completion of a six-month renovation project and opening of its new Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Triumph operates a 60-bed Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospital located at 3219 S 79th East Avenue. The newly renovated area includes the addition of a 10-bed ICU, new CT scanner and special procedures and inpatient dialysis treatment rooms.

The new ICU accommodates Triumph’s highest acuity patients and provides a variety of services including invasive cardiac monitoring. The addition of the special procedures room allows Triumph’s medical staff to perform tracheostomy, peg and chest tube insertions, bronchoscope and endoscope procedures as well as surgical debridement of wounds.

“We are very pleased to expand our capabilities in Tulsa. Our mission is to care for those medically fragile patients who require extended hospital stays, and with our new ICU we can more fully meet their needs,” stated Lee Simpson, Chief Executive Officer for Triumph MeadowBrook. “Our medical staff has been very supportive through the renovations and we welcome the opportunity to show the healthcare community as well as the public our new, improved hospital.”

The hospital will celebrate with a community open house on Thursday, November 4, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Triumph Meadowbrook is one of 29 LTAC and six rehabilitation hospitals operated by Houston-based Triumph HealthCare, a subsidiary of RehabCare.
